How many times do you get a chance to see what goes into the making of a collection? Keeping this in mind, designer Rimzim Dadu gave us a glimpse of that. As we entered the main show area, the ramp was graced by master-jis with their tools working on fabrics. This gave a chance to the viewers to interact with them and see how fabrics, intricate embellishment work and stitching process is conducted.
Later, once we seated ourselves, the show commenced and it was as beautiful as the set. Metallic dresses, sheer tops, holographic fabrics, fringes and leather dominated her collection. The collection was wearable and quirky, perhaps representing her own personal style and signature designs.
One of my favourite pieces from the collection was the black and blue sari. The designer loves to amalgamate technology and fashion and so she made a fabric sari with a wired pallu.
We conclude by saying that the collection was quite wearable and feminine.
